“We bought the house 11 years ago when it was first built because we fell in love with the area and the views as well as the house. It is amazing that you can be less than three minutes drive from the centre of Broadstairs but when we are in the back of the house or in the garden all we see is green fields, horses, sheep and the golf course in the distance.
One of the things we really like about where we live is that there are plenty of great places to walk the dog – whether it is in the countryside or on the beach. We have thoroughly enjoyed living here during the past decade or so but we are looking to make a move as the house is getting a little large for our current needs. Over the years the dining room has been a real pride and joy as we take a great delight in entertaining and hosting lunch and dinner parties and our guests have always been enchanted by the views.
Another aspect of this house that appealed to us was the size of the rooms – they are larger with higher ceilings than so many modern houses. So we have had the best of both worlds – all the advantages of the latest building techniques as well as spacious accommodation. We like having plenty of room where we can incorporate all our interests and hobbies such as the bedroom we use as an extensive book and music library and another that makes an excellent dressing room.
