One of the most endearing things about Yew Tree Cottage is the location. It stands back from the road and you will have a job to find it unless you really keep your eyes peeled. It is right on the edge of the village and backs straight onto farmland so you get those lovely rural views that change with the seasons. The cottage has been extended a few years ago with the aim of adding more accommodation but not to compromise the period charm and add light wherever possible. As you can see from the images there are now really good airy spaces. The kitchen/dining room is so inviting with the lovely flagstone floor and the Aga opening directly into the family room with its open fire for those cosy winter evenings. The other two reception spaces are both nicely proportioned and welcoming. We adore the thick walls and the bespoke window shutters. Upstairs there are five bedrooms. The principal bedroom has an en-suite but not only that it has windows to three sides and the views are really something. Outside the gardens are a really good size nicely planted and with some noble old trees providing some welcome shade. When you are strolling around the gardens admiring the views and listening to the birds sing it's amazing that Stoke Mandeville station is only six minutes away. Yew Tree Cottage is rural yet not remote and boasts both contemporary and period charm.
