Property description

This could be your chance to own a part of local history. Formally one of the officers homes in the early 1800's, the houses within the conservation area provided accommodation for various ranks within the military. With beautiful sash windows, original banisters and fireplaces, this home is sure to appeal to anyone who appreciates character in a home. The owners replaced the sash windows to the rear of the property in recent years and a new boiler and radiators were installed in 2009.

Not only do you have a good size rear garden and private courtyard, there is a lovely private front garden to the property which provides a blank canvass for any budding gardener. To the front and the rear, you have a lovely outlook over neighbouring period homes with plenty of greenery around. For anyone with more than one car, you'll have the option to buy a permit from Ashford Borough Council so you'll never need to worry about getting parked.

The owners have plans drawn up to extend the kitchen area as many of the residents have done. The plans are available to look at upon request. You could look forward to raising your family here, as it provides ample accommodation and knowing that you are an easy walk away to primary and secondary schools, it should make daily life a breeze.

Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances.

What the Owner says:

When we bought the house some years ago, we were living next door at the time and seized the opportunity to buy this home as we were wanting a property to let out. The area here is so incredibly peaceful and the neighbourhood has a real sense of community. It has always felt like a safe area to live and the neighbours have helped each other out over the years.

We have always loved period properties for the character and given this house is Grade 2 listed, it really appealed to us, particularly as the neighbours seem to take real pride in their homes. When our children were at primary school, we used to be able to watch them walk round to school which gave them a feeling of having some independence..
