The house is located close to the historic Epping Forest, of which Hillside Gardens was carved out of in the 1930's. A few hundred years ago King Henry V would have been charging about on his horse, hunting game

maybe just on this very spot.

The transport links are superb, seconds away is Wood St British Rail with fast links into Liverpool Street Station via Hackney Downs or one stop on, you can change at Walthamstow Central where you have the Victoria line tube. Up the road, approximately 15 minutes walk is Snaresbrook tube, on the Central Line, amazing quick links into the city. The M11, M25, A12, A13 and A406 are all easily accessible; you can be at Stansted Airport in approximately 35 minutes. There are also very good primary and secondary schools and colleges within the local area.

Not too far away is a good choice of areas to visit, to shop , eat or wine and dine:

"Walthamstow Village" a good selection of bars, boutiques and places to eat.

"Highams Park" a nice little village, lots of little boutique shops, places to eat and a large supermarket, on the Liverpool street line as well.

" Wanstead High Street" is the

same as the village, just a lot bigger,

you also have Snaresbrook and

Wanstead tube stations there, both

on the central line.

Hillside Gardens sits perfectly against the backdrop of Epping Forest where plenty of green space has given us beautiful walks to relax in. Upper Walthamstow offers us suburban living with all the benefits of the city. A short walk down the hill to Wood Street Station and we can be in the city on the Liverpool Street Line in 20 minutes or on the Victoria Line into the heart of London.
Or, we can stay local for our shopping, buying fresh produce on Walthamstow's famously long market. We have always enjoyed browsing nearby vintage shops, particularly in Wood Street Market. There are events all year round for all the family, one of our favourites is the annual fireworks display a Walthamstow Town Hall.

But most of all we love our big garden!
