“We have thoroughly enjoyed living here for the past six years but now need to move because of work commitments. It has been a great place to raise our children who have done very well at the local school in Minster. Our neighbours are friendly, without being intrusive and we love the fact we feel as though we are living deep in the countryside with horses in the nearby fields, yet it is only two minutes to the Westwood Cross shopping mall and entertainment complex in one direction and about the same length of time to get to the Thanet Way for Canterbury and London on the other. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the road and if we want to go out for a drink or a meal but don’t want to drive we can always take a stroll to the historic Jolly Farmer pub that has served the village since the 17th century. Manston is a very friendly community with an active village hall and a park with a children’s play ground, playing fields and a dedicated dog exercise area. There is also a nearby golf range and the excellent adventure golf for the kids and we are not far from the championship golf courses of Royal St George’s at Sandwich and a number of other golf clubs for enthusiastic golfers or the Pegwell Nature Reserve if you enjoy walking and wildlife.
