Property description
If you are searching for the perfect family home in a perfect location then take a closer look at this stunning character house in West Dartford. The house is on a grand scale with large open feeling rooms and gorgeous period features. The moment you step inside this house you can appreciate that it is from a time when houses were more than just somewhere to live. Viewing this home is a must as you will realise how spacious it feels when compared to a more modern family home.
All of the bedrooms are very large, especially the master bedroom, plus there is a superb bedroom up on the second floor which is ideal for a teenager or perhaps even as a second sitting room or work space, plus potential to create an en-suite shower room.
The kitchen has a wonderful bay window and you can just imagine the family enjoying breakfast time together at the start of the day. There is a useful downstairs toilet and, for those who enjoy the outdoors, a large rear garden with large patio for entertaining and dining al fresco.
Parking was not a consideration when this house was first built but in today's world it is essential. As such, there is a gated driveway at the end of the garden and there is certainly enough space should you wish to build a garage (subject to planning). The house is conveniently located to town, stations and motorways but is set in a quiet characterful road. It is literally a stone's throw from the top performing grammar schools and primary schools.
What the Owner says:
This has been the most wonderful family home, and we have made many happy memories here. We have spent the last few years restoring it inside and out. The spacious interior feels much bigger than anywhere else we looked at and because of the high ceilings and large windows, there is lots of light in all the rooms. The location was one of the things that attracted us to the house. We wanted to be close to the excellent grammar schools and within walking distance of the station. This house was perfect on both counts and is in a quiet location with ample parking for family and friends. The outside space is a real treat, we have spent many a day and evening barbecuing on the patio. We love the look and feel of our home and are so proud to show it off when we have guests.
