What sold the house to us are the fantastic views across Brighton to the Downs, both from the front of the house and the garden, which we still enjoy after nearly 14 years here.  When the views are hidden in winter, the open fire gives a really warm cosy feel.
The rooms are a great size, with plenty of light and there's the potential to create more space.  The kids have really enjoyed the garden and the large lounge gave us the space we wanted for both work and play.
