Property description
The parish of Ruckinge lies to the south of Ashford along a ridge that stretches from Hamstreet to Hythe. Below the ridge is Romney Marsh with coast beyond.
The Swedish built house is one of four in Ruckinge and sits back off the Marsh road. The front garden is a great size and as a result offers plenty of parking. The current owners store their caravan up near the house and still have room for not just their cars but for visitors as well.
The property has been extended on the ground floor which has almost doubled the size of the house and has created a further two bedrooms as well as an en-suite. The existing family bathroom is also on the ground floor but the bedrooms upstairs have the use of a toilet on the same floor.
Back downstairs, the lounge is cosy and warm during the colder months with a log burner providing heat as well as a focal point for the room. A separate study overlooks the front which is just as well as the view out of the back garden is quite brilliant.
The back garden is ideal for a family or anyone who enjoys spending time outside. There's room for the whole family to enjoy with a lawn and borders to tend, a vegetable patch to help put fresh food on the table and a view to appreciate all year round.
What the Owner says:
Before coming here we lived in Willesborough in Ashford but our circumstances changed as we needed to find somewhere we could move to with my mum. It needed to be large enough for all three of us and also give my mum independence which the extension here did. We also loved the garden which is not only a good size but its great to be outside and take in views over the Marsh towards the sea.
Its always peaceful and quiet and the neighbours are friendly but to be honest we hardly see them! What we do see is plenty of wildlife, woodpeckers and sparrow hawks are just some of the birds that visit.
