Property description
If location, space and character are three of your "must haves" then this impressive home will certainly command your attention. Located in one of Dorking's most desirable roads, there are excellent schools within walking distance, including the ever popular St Paul's and the town centre is literally just moments away. Throw into the mix the choice of three stations being within minutes, it's easy to see why families flock to this area as it offers the very best of all worlds.
If you enjoy cosy nights in as a family then the good size lounge will be right up your street. With beautiful restored floorboards, high ceilings and fantastic wooden shutters it's a great room for relaxing in. If you prefer entertaining, then you can socialise with friends in the separate dining room and the country kitchen area is a brilliant size where you can get out the recipe books. Downstairs the basement has been transformed into a stylish family area and the addition of the luxury shower room, complete with under-floor heating, also makes it the perfect fourth bedroom when extra guests come to stay, or as a teenage den. Upstairs there's plenty of room for a growing family along with a stunning bathroom again with under-floor heating and a fantastic walk-in shower, making those early morning starts something to look forward to! When the warmer weather arrives, you can soak up some sunshine outside in the garden which has room for family barbecues as well as space for the kids to tire themselves out.
What the Owner says:
I moved here from London and bought this house as I fell in love with the space it offered. I had viewed a lot of properties and this house was head and shoulders above everything else. It needed a fair amount of work and I've spent a lot of time, effort and resources in transforming it. Every room has been redecorated and I have also restored the floorboards and re-carpeted. I added an extra shower room and remodelled and redesigned the bathroom. I purposely left the kitchen area as I loved how much character it had. Having the bespoke units gave it charm and the sheer size means it could easily be turned into something sleek and stylish if people prefer. There's a real sense of community in this road and I will miss having everything I need at my fingertips.
