Property description
An imposing four storey Victorian property with fantastic unobstructed sea and coastline views. Great for any railway enthusiasts!
Dawlish is a town and civil parish in Teignbridge on the south coast of Devon in England, 12 miles (19 km) from the county town of Exeter. During the 18th century, it grew from a small fishing port to become a well-known seaside resort
Dawlish is located at the outlet of a small river, Dawlish Water (also called The Brook), between red sandstone cliffs, and is fronted by a sandy beach with the South Devon Railway sea wall and the Riviera Line railway above. Behind this is a central public park, The Lawn, through which Dawlish Water flows
Immediately to the south-west of Dawlish is a headland, Lea Mount, with Boat Cove at its foot and Coryton Cove, the furthest part of the beach accessible by the seawall path, behind it. To the north-east, via the beach or seawall, the coast can be followed some 2 km to Langstone Rock and the resort of Dawlish Warren beyond, although this path is blocked at extreme high water
Dawlish has a large town boasting plenty of local amenities and facilities including plenty of shops, Hospital, Dawlish Museum, the Shaftsbury Theatre, lots of sporting facilities including a swimming pool, various clubs and 2 bowling greens. There are lots of fine pubs and eateries to choose from
Transport links from the town are excellent
This property is an imposing four storey Victorian family home only a short walk from the town. There is a huge amount of space and versitility for families of all sizes. The property could easily cater for extended style families due to its size and style
The best feature of this particluar property is by far the unobstructed sea views. From all three reception rooms there are views over the railway line and out to sea. The views reach over to the red rocks of Dawlish and Dawlish Warren and across the estaury to Exmouth and beyond. The photos do not do the views the justice they deserve! The views will not disappoint!
