Description
A rare combination of an intriguing period 4 bedroom detached cottage with about 14.25 acres of directly adjoining land providing grazing and a lake with spectacular views across the South Downs National Park. Brimming with character, the property is approached by a short track and occupies an elevated setting in the lee of the hanger, a local term for a wooded escarpment. Vernacular characteristics include beams, pine joinery, a fireplace, a roundel/crows nest and varying levels of accommodation. Twin or triple aspects are enjoyed by several rooms. There is also double glazing and an oil heating system with thermostatically controlled radiators. A further benefit is the planning permission obtained for alterations including upstairs living space, a roof terrace and double garage (further details upon request).
