Ashford is fairly well known for being an old market town, as well as being the focus for many modern developments, but sometimes it's nice to know that there's something in between and the Highfield area fits the bill. It's not far from the town centre and the railway station and there are regular buses that take you there.

The block paved front provides plenty of parking but the spacious layout of the estate means that there's always room for extra cars nearby.

A door from the garage as well as the front door leads into the hallway where each of the rooms can be accessed. The box bay window in the dining room is a wonderful feature and is a great place for family photos or a big bunch of flowers, and also an ideal vantage point to spot visiting guests!

The lounge takes full advantage of the back garden and has French doors that open out to let the outside in. A conservatory would work well here and is a real possibility for the future. Whilst the lounge has French doors the kitchen has something a little different; a stable door, which is a great idea.

Upstairs, there are 4 good sized bedrooms so there's no need to feel guilty about giving someone the 'box room' although it's obvious which is the main bedroom because mum and dad get the room with the built-in wardrobes.

We've liked this area for a while, in fact, our last house was just round the corner so when we moved we knew we'd be happy staying local. The hospital and supermarket are a short walk away and junction 10 of the M20 is even closer. The children went to the local school and it's handy not having to drive to do the school run.

We loved the size of the rooms and as the kitchen and bathroom had been redone by the previous owners so we could move straight in. We have done quite a lot to the house including the driveway and replacing the soffits and facias.
