Property description
Located in one of Tadworth's sought after roads is this attractive character 1930s detached family home.
Twenty five years ago the current owners were living in Epsom and planning to expand their family with a third child. They needed more space and wanted a more rural setting to raise their children. Realising they could get more house for their money if they moved away from the town centre, they started to explore the surrounding area and found that Tadworth was perfect for several reasons.
The station is within three quarters of a mile walking distance so commuting to London Victoria or London Bridge is straight forward and the village provides an abundance of amenities including a pharmacy, post office, bank, general store, hairdressers and restaurants.
When they found “this property” they couldn’t believe their luck. A detached property with generously proportioned bedrooms, a large secluded mature garden, character features, carriage driveway with plenty of parking plus the added benefit of potential to extend in the future.
The icing on the cake was that Tadworth primary school and the local doctors’ surgery are less than a quarter of a mile away.
What the Owner says:
Our whole family has loved living at “this property”, from the day we moved in. The kerb appeal and proximity to the school was the main attraction. We added a double story extension to the back of the house to enlarge the living accommodation and give us an extra / 4th bedroom. It’s been a very practical house for a growing family, with a cloakroom, a shower room, in addition to the main bathroom, so there’s never a queue in the morning and a study which is ideal if working from home. We have always felt safe in Tadworth, it’s a wonderful area, and we have enjoyed many a family stroll over the Heath and Epsom Downs. Just a short walk away, are three Local pubs – The Blue Anchor, Dukes Head and Grumpy Mole which all serve great food.
