Property description
This home is immaculate from start to finish and will impress most with it’s light and spacious living as well as low maintenance garden.
Walking up the steps to the front door, you are greeted by a lovely, private front garden which you would definitely enjoy sitting out in. The patio area would be the prefect place to enjoy a good book to while away the time.
Internally, you have room to hang up your coats and hideaway unwanted shoes before carrying on in to look around. The double doors lead you into a hallway giving you options on where to go next. The lounge is at the front of the property and has a stunning woodburner giving you a vocal point to this room. Sitting down on the sofa, you will appreciate how well the property has been maintained and you can enjoy the relaxing feel this room gives off.
The kitchen is hand-built and has a stunning granite worktop giving a sleek and stylish touch to the room, with plenty of cupboards to hide everything away. Any budding chef will enjoy pottering in here.
Those who have family and friends who love to come and stay will be impressed with the bedroom and en-suite bathroom downstairs which is just the place to give them some privacy during their stay.
On the first floor, there are three good sized bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own balcony which in the summer months will be just the place to sit out with your morning coffee. This big room also has its own shower room and built-in wardrobes tucked off the main room so if you like a great sized bedroom, this will be ideal.
Externally, the garden has been well laid out and offers you a lovely space to wander but isn’t to big that it takes over. With a summerhouse, shed and greenhouse, there is more than enough storage for those who like to be outdoors. Lastly and not least, is the detached double garage, giving you space for the car and everything else you have collected over the years.
What the Owner says:
Having spent many years visiting the Isle of Wight for extended periods, the south of the Island with its warm climate resulted in our purchase of a very versatile home in a quiet and well- maintained local setting. Spacious airy and free flowing accommodation gives ample space for us and friends to enjoy.
The easily managed gardens in the special micro-climate provide the ability to grow many tender plants and a good source of ideas come from the Botanic Gardens. We enjoy the tranquil setting with a cup of tea or something a little stronger together with outside entertaining.
The nearby protected Pelham Woods encourage all forms of wildlife, from red squirrels as well as pheasants who are daily visitors to the garden along with many others which give all year round pleasure. The nearby coastal and inland paths also make a walk extremely enjoyable.
Why are we moving you ask? Having lived in the countryside with extensive land for some 20 years, we miss our interest in land and woodland management and intend to return to a similar location on the Island or the mainland, back to Land Rovers and muddy boots.
Regards Frances & John
