Property description

A truly stunning home from start to finish full of character and charm with beautiful gardens. This delightful property offers exceptionally comfortable and well laid out accommodation which has been sympathetically updated over the years, resulting in a substantial and comfortable home. Pull up on the driveway and enjoy that fact there is more than enough parking for ample vehicles. Open the front gate, step under the archway and wander down the pathway to the front door whilst admiring the pretty, good sized front garden. Hang up your coat in the entrance porch and continue into the spacious hallway which is inviting as well as practical. From here you will find a spacious kitchen/breakfast room offering a great area to entertain the family. This room not only has double aspect front and rear windows plus internal side windows to the side porch and hallway, but also has lots of storage as well as a boiler room off and also a cloakroom. The utility room, which is a great addition to the side, gives not only a place to hide the washing machine and tumble dryer, but somewhere to kick off those muddy boots. The lounge and sitting areas are an amazing size and offers a place to unwind in front of that open fire or just somewhere to sit and enjoy the view out to the gorgeous garden. The conservatory is a fantastic addition and gives you another place to entertain or spread out.

On the first floor, there are four good size bedrooms as well as an en-suite shower room and family bathroom with the added bonus of exposed beams and lovely views from all windows. This home is somewhere you can see yourself retiring to, soak up the peace and quiet as well as enjoying pottering around the beautiful garden. The rear garden is set out in two sections separated by a pergola, with a selection of lovely shrubs and plants. It benefits from being fully enclosed with the leaves out for approximately seven months of the year, plus you have open countryside to the front and rear of the home. The front garden is a fantastic sun trap and offers a pleasant place to sit as well as a stream which runs along the bottom and finishes the package off nicely, giving it that rural cottage feel.

What the Owner says:

When we found this house, the moment we stepped inside it really was 'love at first sight’. The comfortable feeling it gives out is amazing and we have always had such lovely comments about our home from friends and family.

Throughout we feel our home is quirky yet inviting and cosy, with our open fire which is fantastic in the winter and really is the talking point of our children’s visit. They always say 'We can’t wait to come home and sit in front of the fire', which is lovely. Outside we have an office / studio which subject to relevant planning permissions you could convert into extra living space or a gymnasium as it is fully insulated.

The convenience of the location is something not everyone realises. We have the rural feel, and peace and quiet which goes with it, within a short drive, you’re in Newport, Yarmouth or Cowes so nothing is too far, including the ferry terminals. The home is also situated within a short distance of the beautiful and secluded Newtown Creek Nature Reserve.

The part we will miss most is not only the house itself but the seclusion our home offers. With open fields and land to the front and rear of the home, we truly are tucked away and from any place inside or out, you are hidden from sight which we love.
