About the Area
Priddy is just above Wells in the heart of the Mendips- an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village has a primary school, church, village hall, a farm shop and 2 excellent pubs (1 currently being redeveloped). Bath and Bristol are both about 20 miles away and the nearest main line rail is at Castle Cary 15 miles south. Bristol International Airport is 20 minutes (12 miles) away. Also the village and surrounding areas have a very active community and many events. There is an annual sheep fair dating back to 1348, a spring folk festival, caving and several village green fetes.There are excellent state and independent schools nearby including Kings of Wessex, Wells Blue Schoool (with school bus), Wells Cathedral, Millfield, Downside and All Hallows.

Nearby is Wells which is the smallest city in England (population about 10,000) and has a central market place (local markets twice a week) and many medieval buildings including the Cathedral and moated Bishops Palace. There is a small but busy local shopping centre and a broad range of societies and activities.Rose Meade is close to the edge of the village but in easy walking distance of the green and village amenities. Directions
From Wells proceed up Bristol Hill, the A39. Having reached the top bear round to the right on the main road and continue until turning left sign posted Priddy. Follow this road all the way to the village and just before the Green turn left onto Pelting Drove. Rose Meade is approximately 0.3 miles along Pelting Drove on your right hand side.
