Property description

Located on a quiet, no-through road stands this majestic four bedroom detached house. One of the original founding properties of the town, this elegant home is steeped in local history.

This spacious family home comes packed to the rafters with character, period features and beautiful 1920’s craftsmanship. Blending the old and new spectacularly well, this stunning house will not disappoint.

The large welcoming lounge has plenty of windows to allow the natural light to flood into the property. It opens out to the large rear courtyard enabling you to bring the outside in during the warmer months. The fourth bedroom is currently configured as a separate dining room. The home boasts ample space for entertaining family and friends. With a shower and separate toilet downstairs also, a useful addition for a large family or anyone with mobility issues.

Storage is not a problem with eaves space and loft space as well as numerous cupboards available. The period features continue upstairs with stunning stained glass doors to the bedrooms. The bathroom with its P-shaped Jacuzzi bath and Villeroy and Boch tiles is a perfect example of modern luxury.

The sumptuous rear garden is complete with lawn, large ornamental pond and vegetable plot. The courtyard, garage, large shed and conservatory complete the outside space.

What the Owner says:

'I’ve lived here for over a decade and it’s such a warm home, combining character and modern luxuries. It’s a lovely house with a large garden perfect for entertaining people. The street is really friendly and I’m going to miss that. My friends and family have always loved staying here.
I love the history of the house and it’s wonderful to have the original advert from when it was first built in the 1920s, as well as the Art Deco blueprints showing that it was one of the first houses in the town and built on a very large double plot, which is why there’s so much room here. It’s fantastic how many original features still remain, including internal stained glass, the oak front door and the very useful inbuilt bookcases.'
