Property description

You will see Margate at it's best when you live in this gorgeous period, double bay fronted detached home which is located between Margate town centre and the QEQM hospital. You could be mistaken for taking a step back in time with a wealth of original features which subtly blend with the modern touches.

As you enter the home you can see that downstairs there is plenty of space for all the family with a separate lounge, dining room and a sitting/breakfast room, meaning that the children could have a room for entertaining their friends whilst mum and dad can have the tv remote to themselves in the lounge. There is also a utility room which seems to be an essential for any family these days, perfect for hiding all the laundry whilst you have guests round and a separate toilet, meaning no more muddy footsteps through the house. You also have an office/studio for any parents who work from home or for children who need some study space.

Upstairs all the bedrooms can accommodate a double bed, so that should make the bedroom decisions a more pleasant experience. There is a huge landing where you could happily spend a few hours sitting reading a good book with a view to the front of your home.

Outside you have a modest rear garden, but you do have the park just round the corner and the beach a short walk away. There is also a garage, which at over 28ft long could be a handy man's paradise.

What the Owner says:

We have lived in this area for most of our lives and it is great to see the revival of Margate. We think our house is in the best possible place and benefits from it all.

We are surrounded by the best the town has to offer. What with the seafront only a short walk away, the park, some great schools and the train station a little over a mile away.

Space is one thing our home has in abundance so we feel it will be best suited to another family. When we moved in we were so pleased it had managed to retain much of its charm and character.
