Property description

Set well back from the road down an impressive drive, this delightful chalet bungalow nestles in 0.498 of an acre of beautifully maintained gardens. From the moment you step through the vast porch and into the spacious reception hall you can feel the warm and friendly atmosphere of this charming family home that flows through to the L-shaped living room. This is large enough to host a wonderful drinks party or an informal buffet for numerous guests and during the spring and summer you can wander into the garden through the French doors to sit on the patio, listening to the birds or admiring the blossom on the fruit trees. You can enjoy cooking in the country-style kitchen while chatting to friends and family as they sit round the table in the adjacent open-plan dining room. The flexible accommodation includes a bathroom and double bedroom on the ground floor that could be used as an office/snug and three more attractive double-bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. There is also the possibility of expanding the master bedroom to incorporate en-suite facilities and even a dressing room, while the landing is large enough for a desk. The gardens are a dream for those who want to spend time out of doors. There is a ‘secret garden’ where both children and adults can delight in a little privacy, a summer house also hidden from view and two greenhouses for those who want to indulge in the ‘good life’ by growing their own plants. For enthusiastic petrol heads there is not only a double-garage but also two car ports to house their precious cars as well as plenty of hard-standing for that boat, caravan and motor home.

What the Owner says:

“Indeed, we do not intend to move very far away but our home is now a little large for us so we are looking to find something a bit smaller. The village is a very friendly community and there are always plenty of activities in the village hall from the gardening club with its annual show, trips to gardens and monthly events to the Manston Sports and Social club where you can enjoy dancing, snooker and petanque. For those with young children the village hall also includes the Manston School Nursery while golfing aficionados can join the St Augustine’s Golf Club or spend time at the Stonelees Golf Centre.

There are plenty of bridlepaths for enthusiastic horse riders and lots of places to walk the dog, whether it’s a quick wander round the local Manston Park with its special dog exercise area and children’s playground to a brisk trip across Pegwell Bay. If you don’t want to drive you can walk to the archetypal rural pub, the Jolly Farmer, which provides traditional home-made English cooking. Ramsgate, with its bars, restaurants and marina is only 10 minutes away by car while Westwood Cross for shopping is about the same distance, although you can be at the Manston Tesco’s supermarket in about three minutes.”
