Property description
A detached residence set within High Beech and occupying a setting that provides a sense of privacy and a semi-rural atmosphere.
The owners tell us, “We have lived here since 2007, we already knew of the home and location, as our friends used to own the property. Whenever we visited we always said how nice it would be to live here. So when our friends decided to move to Portugal we had no hesitation is buying the property.
Over the years it’s been a great home for entertaining, whether it’s been inside within the family/breakfast area with a bar area to one corner, which is our favourite space within the home, or to the outside, where we have held many a pool party or simply enjoyed barbecuing with friends and family and relaxing with a glass of wine on the patio.
Another area to relax is to sit on the decking with a beverage, whilst watching the Koi in the pond and listening to running water from the water feature. We have also benefited from having the stable block – we previously kept a pony for the grandchildren and we
have direct access to a bridlepath, so they never had to go on the road. Another feature of our home is the views over West Essex Golf Course and beyond.
The location has been everything we thought it would be and more. We are set within the forestland of High Beech, which offers great walks, horse riding and mountain biking. We have a pleasant pub, ‘The Owl’, just up the road from us, which we frequently visit with
the family and there is also a Church of England school that has a high demand. With all this on our doorstep we are still only 3.0 miles from Loughton Station and 4.1 miles from Chingford Station, 3.9 miles from junction 26 of the M25; the bustling High Road of Loughton is within 2.7 miles of the home and Chingford’s Station Road is 4.1 miles away. You really do get the best of both worlds here: a semi-rural atmosphere, yet accessible to everything a modern family might need.”
