Property description
This is quite an opportunity to acquire a substantial detached four bedroom house in a commanding position, overlooking the Sussex countryside. With parking for up to four cars and a garage, take the steps up to the front door and look back across the decked terrace area, taking in the stunning views of the River Ouse and beyond.
The kitchen features a Rayburn range cooker and bespoke English Oak units with oak and granite worktops. There's also space for a breakfast table and chairs. Other features are the separate dining room, which has a service hatch through to the kitchen and a conservatory to the living room, with views over the garden and a study. The master bedroom has a wet-room ensuite with underfloor heating, ample storage and has what can only be described as breath-taking views over the Weald of Sussex to the front. There are three other double bedrooms and the family bathroom includes a Jacuzzi bath. From the landing there is access via a folding ladder to a boarded loft.
In the rear garden is a patio area with barbecue pit built in for the summer, whilst the large majority is lawned. The elevated aspect of the house allows for maximum sun all round and the opportunity to enjoy both front and rear gardens, where we're sure you'll spend most of your time when it is hot.
A short stroll up the road will take you to the open downland of the South Downs, with Wallands Primary School just around the corner.
What the Owner says:
When we moved here we were looking for a larger house and felt very lucky to find this great family home in such a wonderful location. The views are amazing from the house over the Ouse Valley and as far as the High Weald, yet still near enough to walk into town. Hill Road is a no-through road, so is very quiet and safe. You can head to the top of the road for direct access to Wallands Primary School or continue straight onto the Downs for a variety of spectacular walks. We have made many improvements to the house in our 30 years here both inside and out. The landscaping of the front really enabled us to make the most out of and enjoy the property's elevated position. We hope future owners will enjoy living here as much as we have.
