It was an exciting project to build the house from scratch and ensure that everything was perfect from the quality of the build to the quality of the interior. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to entertain over the years and it has been a wonderful place to live. I love sitting outside in the summer and, as we back on to orchards, it is very quiet and peaceful. However, I now feel it is time to downsize and for another family to enjoy everything this place has to offer. Beltinge is a delightful village with an array of shops within walking distance, from convenience stores to hairdressers and butchers to beauty salons as well as a very good pub and other eateries and a bus service. Herne Bay is nearby and offers plenty of individual shops, restaurants and the beach with its renovated pier that includes charming beach-hut-style stalls as well as the train station with the high-speed service to London. There are excellent places to walk the dog as the Downs are only a five minute stroll from the house and there are cycle tracks to Reculver and the coast while it is only a couple of minutes’ drive to the Thanet Way for Canterbury and London.
