About the area
Wells is the smallest city in England (population about 11,000) lying in beautiful countryside between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wells medieval centre has local markets twice a week, good restaurants, a thriving high street and many important ancient buildings, including the Cathedral and moated Bishops Palace and gardens. There are four major supermarkets on the edge of the city. Wells Leisure Centre has the usual facilities of gym and swimming pool to add to Wells Rugby Club, Tennis club, Bowling club and Golf course. Throughout the year Wells hosts festivals for Music, Literature, Art and Food, and has twinned links with Burgundy, the Rhineland and Northern Italy. There are many societies and clubs for those who would like to join a diverse social community.
Croscombe
The major towns of the area, Bristol, Bath, Taunton and Yeovil are all within commuting distance. There are excellent state & independent schools in the area which include several good primary schools, Wells Blue School, Strode College, Wells Cathedral School and Millfield. Wells is a transport hub for bus services, including daily services to London. Main line trains run from Castle Cary and Bristol International Airport is 35 minutes drive away. Croscombe, just a few miles east of Wells, is known to date back to at least 706 and it developed in the 16th and 17th centuries with the boom in the wool trade. During this period many houses, cottages and inns were built and the church was reconstructed. Today Croscombe is a vibrant village with a primary school, village stores, a pub and a very active local community.
*
Fayre Way is a quiet lane, which is in an elevated sunny position on the north side of the village well away from the busy main road and enjoying excellent southerly views. Kismet stands alongside the lane with the house well back within its own garden. Externally there is a neat front garden, a walled paved courtyard garden with a garage and parking space - accessed via a rear service lane.

The dormer bungalow is well presented and has the benefit of double-glazing and gas central heating. Internally the floors are mainly tiled or carpeted and the excellent views are noteworthy. The sitting room has a large picture window with a wonderful view, a central fireplace and a door directly into the kitchen. Another door from the main hall opens into a living room which again links through into the kitchen and also has double doors in to the conservatory which in turn has double doors to the rear courtyard and into a comfortable snug. The kitchen and breakfast room is a large room with a high pitched ceiling with velux roof lights and an excellent range of fitted units with appliances including a 5 ring gas hob, an extractor, a double oven and an integral dishwasher.
