Location
Pakefield is a residential area of South Lowestoft 2.25 miles from Lowestoft town sitting atop some off Suffolk's most dramatic coastline, Pakefield is a thriving village, close enough to Lowestoft for access to many Suffolk attractions. Pakefield beach is a popular area, and is accessed from multiple points in the village. Pakefield most likely gets its name from Pacca's or Pagga's field, named after a local landowner. What was a small community of around 300 people in the early 19th century, now has more than five times that number, a quiet haven south of nearby bustling Lowestoft. Pakefield is a great base close to Africa Alive, and Kensington Gardens, which has a park with tennis courts.
