Property description

The village of Shadoxhurst is situated to the South of Ashford and, although rural, is only a short distance form the edge of town and it only takes around 10 minutes to be at the main railway station or town centre. There is also a bus that runs frequently into the town and the village has its own convenience store and post office although this is technically in Stubbs Cross.

Nairne Close is a relatively small cul-de-sac of similar properties and this one is almost at the end of the close which means there is very little passing traffic. There is a garage and driveway to the side of the house and a gate straight into the back garden. A porch at the front provides an ideal home for those muddy boots or wet rain coats fresh from a walk through one of the surrounding woods. Cold toes are greeted by warm underfloor heating which is fitted throughout the property but for some added luxury, a wood burner creates not only a lovely focal point but also a real practical source of heat.

The kitchen and dining area at the back of the house are perfect for entertaining, whether it be on long winter evenings or hot summer days when you can open the back doors to the garden and soak up the sun. Upstairs, there are 3 good size rooms with large windows that let the daylight in, the whole house is bright and welcoming and a lovely family home that's now ready for its new owner.

What the Owner says:

We previously used to live in this house before moving out and renting the property. It was a lovely home for us and we'd look forward to coming home of an evening and lighting the fire before putting our feet up in front of the TV. It's really quiet and there's lots of wildlife that visits particularly in the back garden but you'll often see foxes and woodpeckers out the front as well.

We've had the house redecorated as we really want the house to be ready for somebody else who can hopefully enjoy living here as much as we did.
