Property description
Set in the village of Sellindge you will find this pretty period cottage, which has fields to the rear and is only a short walk to the village store, hall and doctor's surgery. You can picture yourself returning home after walking the dogs through the local countryside.
This double fronted home is deceptively spacious, so whether you are relaxing in your favourite armchair in the lounge listening to the crackle of the logs in the log burner, or entertaining family in the dining/sitting room, lit by the warm glow of the embers in the open fireplace, there is room for everyone.
The kitchen is also quite large and has plenty of work surfaces to satisfy any budding chef. Indeed, if you like to bake or make jam you can imagine yourself picking fruit from the trees in the garden, before transforming them into a lovely pie or preserve.
The rear garden offers the very essence of the English country garden, as it is has many plants and trees and it even has a vegetable plot. At the bottom of the garden there is a large workshop and three sheds, which will be ideal for storing your garden furniture when the weather turns with the changing seasons.
Neutrally presented, this home is ready for you to simply move into and unpack, which will make it easier to settle and embrace countryside living.
What the Owner says:
When we first saw our home we knew it would be ideal for us. It wasn't what it is today and we have lovingly restored it. We replaced the flooring and windows, and installed the Victorian fireplace.
The garden has been a labour of love and we both enjoy tending it. During the summer months the garden is awash with colour and we have photos we can show you.
We have been made welcome in the village and feel very much part of the community; we will certainly miss it when we move away.
