Property description

Picasso’s, Turner’s etc., required!! A blank canvas awaits!

With bags of potential to put your mark on it, here is really a chance for someone to start pretty much from scratch and create a lovely home which is what the potential for this property truly is. Set back from the road there’s even space to add parking or even extend like others have done in the road, (subject to the necessary consents).

Perhaps you’d like to keep the secluded feel to the property at the front and discreetly open up the kitchen to the dining room with its fireplace and create an open plan space overlooking the garden with views beyond. There is also space to extend at the rear, or add a conservatory. With mostly original fittings, double glazing has been added, the wood floors and picture rails give you hints of its original era and add to its character, and along with the doors, could be realised to their former glory.

There is currently a lovely echoey feel about the place as you wonder around. Just imagine all your furniture in, repainted and a cute carpet up the stairs with brass stair rods to accentuate the period charm. Rarely, with an original high level toilet cistern which wouldn’t now be out of place in a country cottage boutique style accommodation, (or period drama) you may wish to update it with more modern bathroom, sympathetically or otherwise in juxtaposition.

Mostly this is a project to really to sink your teeth into and get going.

Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances.

What the Owner says:

It’s been in my family for decades and we’ve always loved this peaceful spot as it’s close to town and local shops and it’s not a very busy road.

The property overlooks a recreation area to the back and the garden is mostly level. The house itself is a blank canvas. It does need a lot of work but it’ll be worth it and I’m sure the new owner(s) will be happy to stay here for years to come.
