Property description
If the one thing you are not prepared to compromise upon is size, then this is a house that really is worth taking a look at! Unlike most other houses in the area, this property is double fronted, so not only does it have bags of kerb appeal, the road presence of this property oozes character and, what lies within, will not disappoint either.
Step over the threshold and into the generous entrance hall and you will instantly notice the high ceiling and original features, which sets the tone for what lies beyond. There are two separate spacious living areas downstairs, so you can either cosy up in the lounge and tune into the latest drama in “soap land” or why not light the coal fire in the dining room and catch up around the table for those more formal occasions. The handy utility room will hide away your laundry and the downstairs cloakroom is a bonus for when guests come calling as they will not have to journey upstairs and disturb the little ones whilst they are sleeping. All of the bedrooms upstairs are doubles, YES DOUBLES, so none of the children will be left with the dreaded ‘box’ room! The double storey extension has also allowed for a bathroom upstairs too, so no need to venture downstairs in the middle of the night.
Externally, there is a sunny, low maintenance rear garden, so in those summer months just throw open the patio doors from the lounge and extend those social gatherings out into the garden.
What the Owner says:
When I first viewed this house, I instantly fell in love with the character and original features of this beautiful Victorian house.
The previous owners had begun to build the double storey extension which I completed over the years, along with other works such as updating the double glazing, and installing a new fitted kitchen which is only a few years old.
The location is great as everything you need can be found nearby including local shops, schools, and parks for the children to play in. Gravesend town centre is within walking distance, where you can catch the high speed train and be in the heart of London in just over twenty minutes.
I have thoroughly enjoyed living in this house, and hope you will do too.
