Property description

Driving through the country lanes of Fishbourne offers the opportunity to buy this stunning period cottage on the outskirts of Chichester.

Arranged on three floors, this cottage has wonderful character and spacious accommodation. Stepping through the front door leads you into the lounge with a wood burner to keep you warm and cosy on those cold winter nights. Downstairs open planned layout offers a good sized dining area, which is great for family nights in or hosting drinks with friends over the summer months with French doors opening onto the patio and garden.

The property has two new bathrooms which means family arguments are a thing of the past; the same goes for the well proportioned bedrooms that all offer great views of the garden or the neighbours fields. The bedrooms are spread over the top two floors of the property, all of which are a good double size, this really is the ideal property for a growing family who enjoy the country air but with great access to the city of Chichester.

Chichester is a City of culture with the Cathedral, Festival Theatre and art galleries. It also offers boutique shops, high street brands and a superb range of restaurants, wine bars and pubs. The South Downs National Park is just to the north and the sea to the south including the beautiful blue flag West Wittering beach.

What the Owner says:

When we were searching for a home we really liked the fact the village was on the outskirts of Chichester with its semi rural feel, whilst still only being a short distance from the centre.

As soon as we viewed the property 5 years ago we instantly fell in love with the period features the cottage had to offer and were taken a back by the size of the property both inside and out.

Whilst the cottage has many character features, after modernising various things including heating system and bathrooms, we love the additional benefits this brings without comprising the character.
