Property description

Rarely available in this stunning village location, this pretty flint fronted character cottage also has particularly spacious accommodation. Step into a wonderful full width lounge stretching across the front of the property and snuggle up in front of an open fire. If you are entertaining then a 19ft kitchen / diner provides ample space to cook, laugh and chat for all of your friends and family. In the summer of course the sizeable rear garden, featuring an original well, beckons and is an ideal space to have a BBQ or just relax and enjoy the very best the British summer can offer. This truly is a lovely cottage to live in, as it is situated within the perimeters of The South Downs National Park with amazing bridle paths, and country walks spreading out in all directions. There is a small local village store and friendly pub as well as a well stocked farm shop. The city delights of Chichester with its historic Roman walls and cathedral are only a few minutes drive away in one direction with Portsmouth city and Gun Wharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower in the other direction. The Chichester Marina and harbour are a magnet for sailors of all abilities, and all size of craft. When you finally return home after a fun packed weekend, three bedrooms await with an en-suite to the master bedroom and a shower room which provides ample space for all and with parking to the front we strongly recommend an early viewing.

What the Owner says:

I have lived here in Funtington for two years, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Two doors down is one of the best gastro pubs in the area… Superb food and atmosphere inside, but not noisy at all. There is also a handy shop and post office less than a minutes walk away. With the property comes some additional land with a shed, and rear access to the lovely private garden which is a picture in the summer. The cottage always feels welcoming, especially when the fire is roaring, and there are both easy and challenging walks or bike trails just round the corner, which was very important for me. A change in circumstances has pushed me to move, otherwise I would surely still be here.
