We moved to this area from London and we chose this house because it very much has the feel of the period homes in London. The house needed a lot of work doing to it, but we absolutely loved the original features it had and we knew we could make it really special. Just some of the improvements we have made include stripping the floorboards in some of the rooms, refurbishing the sash windows, adding the fireplace in the living room, landscaping the rear garden, replacing the central heating boiler, adding thermostats on the radiators , replacing the kitchen and the bathroom and lots more besides! It’s very convenient for walking into Canterbury or walking to the train station from here. The area and neighbours are lovely here too.
