Property description
This cosy cottage is tucked away on a quiet no through road in West Hythe. The kitchen will score highly with anybody who enjoys cooking, as there is plenty of work surface for today’s modern kitchen gadgets and there is an abundance of storage cupboards to store all your ingredients in. You will have a lovely outlook whilst washing up as the kitchen looks out over open fields and the ruins of the St Marys Church. This pleasant view can also be seen from the dining room and bedrooms 2 and 3.
The large lounge is situated perfectly at the back of the house. You can just imagine sitting here on a warm summer’s day with the French doors open, looking out over the back garden, and if the weather turns a little bit chilly then you could always light the log burner.
Now for the secluded back garden, which is just waiting for a keen gardener to come and work their magic. At present, there is a lawned area where your children can play and a decked area where you can enjoy a barbeque, whilst bathed in the afternoon sun. There is a small brook at the bottom of the garden which you could install a retractable bridge over, providing direct access onto the canal tow path. This will be fantastic if you enjoy walking or cycling, and you may even see some wild animals as you pass the grounds of Port Lympne Zoo.

We have completely transformed this house since we bought it last year. Although it was very dated, we could see the potential of what was going to be a lovely family home.
We had a small extension built to the side, which has given the house an entrance hall and a downstairs shower room with toilet. We also re-fitted the kitchen, had an LPG boiler installed, stripped all the floors in the dining room and the lounge, opened up the fireplace in the dining room and re-wired the whole house. Outside, we replaced all the fencing with Jackson fencing and re-laid the drains. So hopefully the new owner can simply unpack and move straight in.
