Situation
Situated in the heart of picturesque Ebbesbourne Wake, a quintessential rural village consisting mainly of attractive stone thatched cottages and houses. Ebbesbourne Wake is arguably one of the prettiest communities in a stunning stretch of countryside on the Wiltshire/Dorset border and classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Although the river running through it is the Ebble, the area is known as the Chalke Valley. The village is located in a triangle formed by the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury and Georgian market town of Blandford Forum which, between them, offer excellent shopping, educational, leisure, arts and medical facilities with the first having a station with main line rail services to London (Waterloo) and the West Country.  
There are good day-to-day shops and amenities in the nearby larger villages of Broad Chalke, Sixpenny Handley and Tisbury, the last also having a railway station.  Many families are drawn to the area by the many highly respected schools in both the state and private sectors.
Tucked away in a delightful hidden valley, The house is surrounded by lovely undulating farmland and countryside, ideal for a variety of rural pursuits including walking, riding and cycling as well as traditional country field sports. Racing is at Salisbury, Bath and Wincanton.
