Property description
This home would be the perfect downsize for those of you who are semi retired. In addition if you are young professionals looking for something different with a bit of a twist, then it may be ideal.
You will be pleased by the size and number of rooms. There are: 3 receptions, 2 conservatories, 3 double bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen, family bathroom, en suite, cloakroom, garage and a private garden. The living room stretches along the side of this home and has a contemporary feel about it. When the glazed doors are opened into the main conservatory, you will enter a room with a wonderful aspect over the gardens and the adjoining RSPB nature reserve. You will spend a great deal of your time here, I feel sure.
The main bedroom has a large feel with a double width walk-in en suite shower with views over the nature reserve. The other 2 double bedrooms have exposed brickwork, which will be appreciated by visitors.
The Chapel was built circa 1878 and converted about 30 years ago into 3 separate homes, with this property being the largest part. The location is very peaceful, being part of Sidlesham Quay and Mill Hamlet conservation area. For dining out there is the Crab and Lobster within walking distance. In addition, convenience stores, the local garage and garden centres are all within a short drive. Chichester, itself, is only a few minutes away by car or bus.
What the Owner says:
We were delighted to find this character chapel conversion. It was a perfect downsize with ample living space on the ground floor and 3 double bedrooms plus en suite and family bathroom on the first floor. The external areas of garden, garage and parking were all important to us. We relocated the kitchen into a larger room, which now serves as a kitchen/breakfast room. We changed the flooring to chalked oak on the ground floor. More recently we added a second conservatory, which allows us to sit in the south facing garden at all times of the year. The garden is a feature as it is private and looks over the open land of the nature reserve. Plus there are easy and interesting walks towards the sea shore for dog walkers and visitors.
