Property description
Situated within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with far reaching views toward Bodium Castle you will find this wonderful cottage. Once a part of Prawles Farm Estate and fully refurbished in 2002 it offers fantastic rural living with its country cottage theme. You approach the cottage over a gravel drive providing plenty of off road parking and leads to a detached garage and mature front garden, you will be really taken with the peace and quiet and amazing views.
As soon you enter you will see how lovely and bright the property is with whitewashed walls giving you the feeling light and space. The sitting room continues the theme with neutral decoration and the focal point being the fireplace with a wood burning stove and views over the front garden, this really is a cosy space. The farmhouse kitchen will be the envy of all your friends, with terracotta tiled floor, country cottage styled units, butler sinks and plenty of space for that large dining table you have always wanted. This kitchen is a lovely room to spend time in with plenty of windows and the patio door making it wonderfully light and bright with fantastic views over the garden and the farm land beyond.
Outside you have a mature garden adjoining farmland with plenty of shrubs, plants, trees and a large patio area. You also have a detached barn-style timber garage, separate office ideal if you work from home.
What the Owner says:
When my late husband and I decided to downsize it was with a heavy heart that we set out on a property search but the second house we saw was Prawles and we fell in love with it! Both its position and aspect are perfect, plus it has the added bonus of easily extending it. It is a peaceful, happy house full of light and sunshine, with views over the surrounding countryside from all windows drawing one outside. Ewhurst Green is a dream village and inhabited by some of the very nicest people you could hope to meet! The White Dog, within walking distance, is the heart of the village drawing people from far and wide to sample its excellent cuisine. So why am I moving? Well it’s time to move on with my life but I will leave behind a trunk full of incredibly happy memories.
