Property description
Original and quirky are both words that can be used to describe this stunning period home, from the road this will stir your curiosity and it will certainly need you to venture inside to fully appreciate the period features in this rarely available property. As soon as you step inside you can start to imagine yourself on the sofa with a log burner keeping you warm with the only sound breaking the silence are the logs crackling as they burn away.
There is a lovely homey feel throughout, no more evident than in the orangery where you can sit back and chat about the days events when the children get home from school.
The rear garden is a real sun-trap, you can just imagine yourself sitting outside in the evenings with a nice glass of wine with only the sound of the birds singing. All the bedrooms are a good size so your children will not be arguing over who has the biggest room and will ensure that everyone will have their own space to escape away from it all.
River is a typical quintessential English village with its own pub, church, school, village hall and Post Office. You have the chance to enjoy the quiet life or socialise at the various clubs available. At the weekends you can grab your walking books and take your faithful friend for a hike across the surrounding hill or take the children to nearby Kearnsey Abbey to feed the ducks.
What the Owner says:
After living in the nearby village I needed a larger home and this property was perfect. With off street parking at a premium in River this property was what I was looking for as I know it is very hard to find a property at this age with parking. Living here is so convenient being situated in the heart of the village with the recreation ground pubs, the old mill, Co-Op and primary school all nearby. Kearsney Abbey is also nearby which is great for taking the dog out for a walk. Anyone that doesn't drive there is a bus stop close-by with trips into Dover and Canterbury, Kearsney Railway station is only a 10 minute walk-away. To relax I like to sit out in the garden with a glass of wine and the only thing I can hear is the birds singing, it is bliss.
