Redruth is a small commercial town, with a population recorded in 2001 of 12,352. A museum organised by the Old Cornwall Society is housed in the Town Council office at the bottom of the main street.
Redruth is also home to Carn Brea, which has historical interest. DIRECTIONS:
From the junction of Penryn Street and West End, in the middle of Redruth head west towards Camborne for 1.8 miles. Turn left into Station Road then left again into Carne Brea Lane. Ivy Cottage (No 15) is on the left as the lane turns to the right.
