Property description
From the award winning butchers, local school, choice of fantastic pubs and the famous fireworks, Brockham is certainly on the map. No wonder the current owners snapped up the chance to live here when they did with the superb great community atmosphere. If your idea of relaxing is cosy evenings in front of a roaring log burner then the lounge will be right up your street. With beautiful exposed brickwork, you really can look forward to putting your feet up in here. If entertaining is more your thing then the separate dining room will tick that box too. With room for friends and family round the table, you can get everyone over for a spot of Sunday lunch. Likewise, any budding chef will relish the size of the kitchen as behind the country charm, hides a well designed, carefully thought out layout which is perfect for getting stuck into the recipe books! If you find yourself with a house full, upstairs won't disappoint either as there is plenty of room for your guests to stay the night and easily room for a growing family. When it's time for a well earned soak, the fantastic bathroom complete with beautiful roll top bath and underfloor heating will give you just the haven to escape to. When it's time for some sunshine, you can head outside to the garden where there is plenty of room for enjoying a barbecue or pottering about and admiring the view. There is even a garage for parking your pride and joy but if you'd prefer it as extra storage, you can always park the car on the driveway.
What the Owner says:
We have lived here for over a decade and for us it was all about the view. We stepped out into the back garden and took one look at the fantastic open field behind and knew we could soon get used to sitting on the bench admiring the outlook over a glass of wine. The views out the front were also pretty impressive and we knew straight away that this was to be our home.
The house itself needed a fair bit of work back then but over the years we have improved it vastly, whilst retaining the character and charm. We installed a log burner in the lounge, had the bathroom replaced which included under floor heating and we also replaced the boiler and have redecorated throughout. Our neighbours are amazing and we will certainly miss them dearly.
