My parents lived here since the property was built and it has always been a really warm and happy home. My sister and I grew up in Westdene and would play in the Copse opposite making tree houses and rope swings. Later on when I got older and was at the local school I would play football afterwards in the field next door. Our dad was a building surveyor for Brighton & Hove City Council, and he built the garage to the side and the conservatory at the back. This was a brilliant extra room to have and it helped to enjoy the garden, even on rainy days. It was a wonderful place to live and it's really easy to drive or get the bus into town as well, and on a nice day you can even see the sea, plus there are some lovely walks up by the Windmill and out on to the Downs.
