Property description
Enjoy all the ambience of a beautiful ragstone country cottage, set in a conservation area alongside the pretty riverside village of Aylesford with its medieval stone bridge, yet without being remote as you have all you need close by!
Seamlessly extended and improved not only does the home retain original features you might wish for, a lovely open fireplace adds a cosy feel with a crackling open log fire, but it is a home with the most desirable on many a wish list for homes built today. Bedroom 1 has a wonderful high ceiling adding to the feeling of space, windows strategically placed to view the greenery of the side and rear gardens and a gorgeous en-suite shower room all to yourselves!
It truly is a wonderful family home with a wealth of living space and a kitchen area with the space the most dedicated gourmet would love. A dedicated dining room makes mealtimes and entertaining a pleasure, a family area adds the versatility of working from home with a study space or playroom. You can truly relax in the fabulous lounge area where bi-folding doors open up the home to the private garden on warm days and under floor heating keeps your feet toasty while you gaze out to the garden crisp with white winter frost.
You can walk to the rail station or schools and take a riverside walk into the Village for a paper or a pint and a meal out. The home has more potential having a large corner plot too (subject to consents).
What the Owner says:
We knew as soon as we walked through the door that this was the home for us. It certainly needed work but we saw the potential on offer here.
Living here in the heart of Aylesford we have found it to be a really pleasant village with a real community spirit, very neighbourly and family friendly with local community hall hosting local events.
We will be sad to go, having had eight happy years here. We were not thinking of moving but an opportunity has arisen for us to take on a project with another character home and it is something we feel would make sense for us to do now.
