Property description
Imagine opening your front door and instantly feeling relaxed and at home. That's the feeling you get when you enter this pretty Grade II listed home in the semi rural village of Hothfield just 4 miles from Ashford.
The open fireplace with its attractive cabinets either side gives the lounge a cosy and inviting glow. The tiled floor leads you through to the newly fitted kitchen which has been carefully installed with real attention to detail and beautiful solid beech work tops. The exposed brickwork fireplace in the kitchen is a real feature and completes the cottage's feel.
Stairs lead to two double bedrooms and a third currently used as a study along with a roomy white bathroom suite.
The large garden offers the green fingered an opportunity to use the raised beds designed for rotation planting. The current owners have enjoyed carrots, parsnips, beetroots and onions amongst other veggies! A potting shed provides the perfect place to prepare your cuttings and to store all your gardening paraphernalia. When the gardening is done why not sit and relax, perhaps on the decked area or for an extra feeling of seclusion the patio at the end of the garden really is a place to escape it all.
Parking will never be an issue as there is off road parking for one car which could be extended to provide two.
Hothfield Common is only moments away and footpaths will take you along to Lenham if you like to explore or are pet owners and want to wear out the dog.
What the Owner says:
I was first attracted to the pretty exterior of my home and its cottagy feel. I have enjoyed updating it over the last six years including replacing the bathroom, changing the boiler last year and more recently updating the kitchen. I will really miss the open fire which in my opinion is the heart of the home.
Hothfield has been an ideal location for me as I have enjoyed living in a rural location but still having access to Ashford with its train and motorway links.
