There are many bars, restaurants and cafes in which to watch the world go by or to enjoy lunch in after a shopping spree.
Just the past the High Road is Loughton Station, which is on the central line and will take you into London in no time at all.
In the other direction is Epping Forest, where you can enjoy a lovely walk on a summers days, stopping at one of the pubs en-route for a refreshing drink before returning home. This really is the perfect location!
