Property description
In the heart of Wisborough Green village, an idyllic spot just outside Billingshurst and on the edge of the South Downs National Park you will find this property. Resplendent with its double front, this Victorian mansion is that rarest of finds - an imposing and elegant façade around a true family home designed to be filled with love and laughter.
Intuitively you sense that something wonderful is about to happen as you step into the welcoming quarry tiled porch, and you won’t be disappointed. Around every corner, through every arch, and behind every door lie rooms packed with period reassurance such as extraordinary bay windows and superb fireplaces, yet all the while with a tangible feeling of a home that is already perfect for modern family living.
The sitting area, kitchen/breakfast room and conservatory link through the property from front to back, creating an incredibly light and open plan feel to this intriguing property. There are yet more reception areas in the shape of the bay fronted drawing room and the dining hall, with its majestic staircase winding past the double storey windows and onto the galleried landing. The three spacious and bright double bedrooms lead off from here, each having its own stylish en-suite bathroom and unique character. Every room in this house is nothing less than fabulous!
What the Owner says:
When we first saw this property we fell in love with the very bones of it, as we felt its first "hug". It has been a joy and a privilege to be the guardians of this historic Wisborough Green house and to have developed it into the warm and welcoming home it has become. We sincerely hope the new owners will love and cherish it during their time as we have during ours.
The village of Wisborough Green provides everything you would expect from a typical English village. We have loved being part of its community and we will certainly miss the convenience of the village shop and post office, cafe and two wonderful pubs all within walking distance.
