Property description
Nestling, unnoticed on Nursery Lane in the wonderful village of Whitfield, you will stumble upon this flint cottage, constructed in the 1700's. This simply stunning home will take your breath away once you step inside. In fact as soon as you lay eyes on the beautiful outside areas of the home it will be hard not to be speechless.
There is plenty of off road parking to the side of the gardens and once inside the gate you will see a fabulous country garden complete with lawn, raised flower beds, vegetable patch and decking. This marvellous area will be your space to enjoy in the sunshine. You will note there is even a summer house with power and light.
Once inside it is hard not to notice the stunning solid wood flooring which flows from the lounge to the dining room through to the kitchen. Both the lounge and dining room have a blend of modern flair and period charm and each of these rooms have their own log burner to help you keep warm in the winter.
The stunning kitchen is the perfect room to brew a fresh cup of tea or coffee. Why not open up the stable door and let the air flow in. There is even the added benefit of a utility area and downstairs toilet.
Upstairs there is more character and charm as you climb the stairs.
What the Owner says:
This house needed so much work when we saw it but it had so much kerb appeal and potential. We have done a lot of work including re-wiring, installing a new boiler and radiators, new kitchen and bathroom, landscaped the gardens, created the parking as well as decorating and laying the floors.
The gardens is a wonderful place to entertain friends and family. We often have people round for a BBQ when we make use of the summer house for food and drinks. The home even has a large basement room which is ideal for storage.
It is so quiet here but perfect for commuting as the A2, A20 and A256 are close by.
