Property description
We are asked almost every day by potential buyers if we could find the ideal home for their family to live in for the next 20 years. Normally we are unable to fulfil the enquirers needs - until now!
This substantial detached house has come to the market for the first time in almost 50 years, having been maintained to a high standard, including a new central heating boiler in 2007 and addition of a conservatory in 1990 whilst retaining many original features such as herringbone parquet wood-block floors, panelled doors, fireplaces, cornicing, picture rails etc. as well as crittel windows.
The house also provides a blank canvas for the potential purchaser to apply their own stamp, especially as there is room all the way around the property for further extensions, subject to planning permission.
As you walk through the accommodation you will notice that all the rooms are very spacious, with four clearly defined reception rooms as well as all the bedrooms being double in size, which is ideal for a growing family.
If you're into gardening then the property is set on a 0.387 acre plot, with established trees, large lawned areas, patios and terracing as well as parking for four cars and a garage.
The position is ideal as it is only a short walk away from Holmesdale School, Reigate train station and the town centre offering great facilities including cafes, bars, restaurants, high street shops and major employers. Also only a short car journey away is the M25 and Gatwick Airport.
What the Owner says:
We originally moved to this property back in 1968, we were attracted by its location due to it being easy to get to schools as well as a short walk away from the renowned Wray Common and being within walking distance of Reigate town centre.
Over the years we have improved the accommodation, however we wanted, due to the style and nature of the property being a typical 'Surrey house', to retain many of the original features.
It is now time to move on and let a new family take over the reins, and we hope that they will enjoy living here for many more years to come.
