Property description

Offered chain free, this attractive 'chocolate box' cottage sits at the end of a quiet, unadopted country lane in the West Sussex hamlet of Nutbourne.

The property offers two to three bedrooms, with accommodation set over two floors and enjoys lovely far reaching views.

The wealth of character features includes beamed ceilings and exposed stonework. The warm, inviting kitchen is the heart of the home and has integrated appliances and looks out across the very manageable rear garden. There are three reception areas downstairs, plus a shower room / cloakroom, great for washing off muddy dogs and children after a winter walk.

The study opens onto a secluded patio and doubles up as a third bedroom.

Both first floor bedrooms are doubles and are dual aspect with a light, airy feel and the bathroom with claw foot bath is a really relaxing room in which to unwind in the evening.

Ideal for commuters, the cottage is only just over two miles away from Pulborough's mainline railway station and all local amenities are within easy reach.

What the Owner says:

We moved here almost twenty five years ago but were relocated abroad shortly afterwards. We loved the cottage so much that we couldn't bring ourselves to sell it and as such we have used it as a second home ever since.

As a family we have such fond memories of Christmas celebrations around the open fire in the cosy living room and summer afternoons playing in the garden, looking out across the neighbouring farmland.

Over the years, we've made various updates and improvements which have included fitting a beautiful bathroom, replacing carpets and the boiler and installing a wonderful pressurised water system.
