Travel south out of Kendal along the A6 Milnthorpe Road. Continue onto the A591, then turn off for the A590. Take the 3rd exit on the roundabout sign posted Barrow A590. Look out for the sign Heaves, Sizergh – get into the central reservation and turn right. Follow this road passing the sign post for Levens, continue up the hill and along then turn right signposted Brigsteer, Underbarrow. At the junction turn right then immediately left signposted Cinderbarrow. Follow this country lane down to the bottom of the hill where you will find Benson Hall on your left hand side.
