Kinlochewe is a stunning little village which lies some two miles south east of the head of Loch Maree, a very strong contender for the title of Scotland's most scenic loch. The A832 from Gairloch follows the south west side of the loch before passing through Kinlochewe.
Kinlochewe has a couple of shops, a hotel and bunkhouse, mountain chalets, several bed and breakfasts, a post office with internet cafe, and one of very few petrol filling stations for many miles in any direction. The village also contains two Churches.
Buses connect the village with Gairloch, the railhead at Achnasheen, Dingwall and Inverness.
