Property description
Originally built as the Hookwood village shop in the Edwardian period, this stunning property is now a spacious family home.
Many of the period features, including a stunning tiled hall floor, 3 meter high ceilings & the old shop wooden and marble shelving, still remain.
The former shop area is now a very large lounge with triple aspect windows. For family meals you have a wonderful dining area with an open fireplace, however, if you would like to have a breakfast table in the kitchen area there is plenty of scope with the double length area.
There will be no tears at bedtime with a main bedroom that is hard to beat! You have so much space you might be tempted to add an en-suite, subject to consensus, as well as a queen size bed.
Outside you have a driveway and parking for 4/5 cars, a handy garage to the rear & a substantial sized garden that is bathed in sunlight all day.
So if you are looking for that special property to call home then take a step back into the past with this special period family home.
What the Owner says:
This was bought as our forever home but life has stepped in. If we could pick up the house and the beautiful river walk across the road, we would take it with us. There is so much scope for this home and we are so sad that we are leaving.
The space is unbelievable in this home and we will miss that along with the cosy feel that it gives us. Outside it is lovely and peaceful and the garden is larger than you would expect. We've had many an evening entertaining whilst enjoying the evening sun.
We find this such an ideal location, as we are 2 minutes drive or a 15 walk into Gatwick and whilst parallel to the airport we do not suffer from noise.
