Property description
This charming double fronted period house is located in a superb position with views over Dartford Heath. It has lots of character features and feels incredibly homely and welcoming from the moment you enter. The house manages to pull off a neat trick by successfully combining modern day conveniences, such as a lovely contemporary shower room with old world features including cast iron fireplaces and exposed wooden floorboards.
The kitchen is well designed with plenty of cupboard and surface space and flows nicely into a large conservatory. This room adds another dimension to the house and provides a bright and spacious living area that can be enjoyed by the whole family. From here you can keep an eye on the children while you prepare the evening meal, plus in the summertime you can open up the bi-folding doors along its entire flank out on to the patio area. The current owners use the conservatory as their main living room so if you require a fourth bedroom or a bedroom on the ground floor, the lounge can be utilised accordingly to suit your needs.
The location is very convenient for access to the motorways and it is also just a short walk from Crayford station. West Dartford is home to some excellent schools, including the Boys and Girls Grammar Schools. Wilmington is also nearby, ensuring your children will be well placed when it comes to their education.
What the Owner says:
We have loved living here and it has really been a fantastic family home. We have made several changes to the house over the years including a first floor rear extension which gave us 3 double bedrooms and most recently we added a conservatory. This has really transformed the way we use the house and we particularly like this addition.
The garden is another element we have enjoyed. It is very private and large enough for those with children yet it is still manageable enough to look after.
The location is very convenient, especially if you need to commute, plus the massive heathland opposite is the ideal place for walking or exercising.
